Nerf Guns and Marshmallow Fights

Brian and I got to spend a few days in Leavenworth at a beautiful cabin with the whole Pingetzer Clan. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend of eating, movies, games, more eating, nerf gun wars, eating, and marshmallow fights. Kim (Jonda, Amber, and Ashley's Mom) starts an all out war with marshmallows every year and it always ends in someone sticking their foot into their shoe the next morning and squishing a mallow in there....
We all had fun flying the helicopter in this cabin's very very tall ceilings. The kids even had fun shooting at the helicopter.
Dean bought a few Nerf guns for the kids to play with, these things were awesome....the clip holds 18 darts and you can just pull the trigger till they are all gone.
Hayden is ready for battle.
All the lovely ladies!
Friday night we all went down to Wenatchee for a Wild Hockey Game! It was awesome!

Veggie-Venture!

I spent the last few days with National Frozen Foods at their repac facility photographing vegetables. You would not even begin to believe the amount of vegetable packs that they make. For example frozen carrots here are the choices: crinkle cut- sm, md, lg. smooth cut- sm, md, lg. baby wholes- sm, md, lg. baby whole tips, natural baby wholes, julienne carrots, shoe string carrots, 3/8 inch diced carrots and the list goes on. I never want to see another frozen carrot! Regardless it was actually really fun and while I do not claim to be a food artist, I did have a little fun with it.

Silver Mountain

This weekend Brian and I went to Silver Mountain in Kellogg, Idaho with some great friends for a little ski trip. The snow was awesome and the sun was shining all day....this was our first trip up the mountains this winter for some skiing...wish we had more time and money to do it more often!

A place for everything and everything in it's place

"A place for everything and everything in it's place." This is Brian's motto, I have heard him say it over and over when something is not put back in the exact same spot I found it, whether it be in his truck or shop....I sometimes wanna pinch him for saying things like that and then the other part of me is thankful he is not a messy person....I am feeling free from the disaster that was once my kitchen drawers, I am chaos free! I finally went out and spend the money on bamboo drawer organizers and bow-howdy it feels wonderful. My blood pressure thanks me as well, because it no longer spikes the instant I open a drawer and have to rifle through to find something! It's fabulous and I highly recommend it.

Cupcake Pops

I wish I could say that I made these...but I didn't. But either way I was in heaven this morning to find cupcake pops on my desk! They were fabulous! Cindy Harr is making them to raise money for Relay for Life and they are amazing! She dropped some off on my desk cause she knows I am a cupcake junkie! I love random acts of kindness....it made my day!

Soggy!

Our road has turned into my own personal lake...which presents a problem...my car has wheels, not a hull...it's getting to the point where I am not sure I am going to make it through just picture me, mid puddle and sinking.... It is mid January, why is everything melting...darn global warming.

Weekend Happenings

Friday Brian and I ventured to Prosser for Aunt Thelma's funeral, it was great to see family we haven't seen in a long time and it was a really nice memorial service and lunch at Uncle Tim's.
I took this picture outside their house...it was so pretty that day, blue skies and green grass in the middle of January.
Saturday Brian and I went to Wenatchee with Ash, Lyndsy, and Hayden for a Wenatchee Wild Hockey game. It was a blast, we even got to see a gloves and helmets off fist fight and they won the game 3-0.

They have 'a game called chuck a puck' where you try and chuck your puck from your seats into the rink and make them land in these tiny buckets where you can win money or free tickets....needless to say none of us won!

Bill Butchering Beef in the Bitter cold

Why do I always feel the need to make the words in my titles have all the same letter? Its a reoccurring theme....anyway!
It was bitter cold today when bill had to butcher the cows, but he is a champ and got 4 of the 7 done. I was out there for about 30 minutes and froze...I don't know how they do it! After the beef hangs for 2 weeks for perfect tenderizing and flavor we shall have boxes of beef in the freezer, oh the glorious beefy goodness!

Anniversary cake and a Bridal Show

This weekend (yes our anniversary weekend) was the Wenatchee Bridal Show so we spent Friday night setting up our booth. Thanks to Brian, Dean, and Emily our booth rocked! Emily made our awesome name banner and help create the walls on our booth with coffee filter pom poms and lots of fun ribbon. The door table was a hit, people were pleasantly surprised it was a door. We got lots of comments about how creative we are. That was awesome! Jonda, Emily, and I had a great day chatting with lots of brides.
So after setting up our booth Brian and I went out to dinner at the Olive Garden and then ate our anniversary cake in the truck and since neither of us are romantics this was just fine and dandy with us! How cute is the cake. Sandy my awesome cake lade got a new cake cricut that makes fun shapes out of fondant. All I told her was I wanted a white cake with raspberry filling and I didn't care what it looked like, she made me this fun little cake, it was so fabulously delicious!

Five Years

I can't believe that Brian and I have been married 5 years today. As I looked through our photos and we watched our wedding video (for the first time), I am just amazed at everyone that was able to come to the wedding, family and friends alike. It was an amazing day and we still can't thank everyone enough for being there! Best thing about today...Sandy (who made my amazing wedding cake) made me a little cake and I can't wait to eat it, I might even share it with Brian. We can't wait to see what fun the next 5 years brings, cause the first 5 have been awesome!
This is one of my favorite images.

Mr. Handy Man

He's back at it in the shop! That's why he loves this time of year...currently he is working on a fence post pounder and just finished the table for Jonda and I's bridal show booth for this weekend.
Check it out! We got an old door painted it orange and then he made the base out of metal roofing. It's awesome!

New Adventures

Today marks the start of Brian's new adventure. Friday was his last day with National Frozen Foods and it was a sad day and happy day because they have been as I have said before an amazing company to work for, they have been generous, gracious, and everyone has treated us like family. But life always throws you curve balls and when a job opened up at Crites Seed we knew it was a fit. So today Brian starts his new adventure at Crites Seed Inc. He will be in charge of product development and sales. More to come on that later, for now. Thanks to everyone at National and we will miss you!!
Here is the entire National Crew (from Seattle, Moses, Albany, and Chehalis). Awesome group!
