Trying to keep up

Life has been a whirlwind lately.  Thankfully this month slows down for both of us and we can stay home for a bit! Brian has been busy at work and had some meeting last week in Moscow Idaho, (where his companies head office is).  He was down there all week working, but did get one day of playing!  He caught a monster salmon in the snake!  Woohoo!

I went down to Moscow to the company dinner and on the way stopped in Colfax to see my ol' pal MaryJean and her cute kiddos!
Friday I went to the airport to get GiGi and on the way stopped to see my ol' pal Krystal in Spokane. We hung out at home, went to sushi, shopped and had an excellent day!!!!

here, there and everywhere!

Saturday am Brian and I awoke very early and hit the ground running for Sumner to meet Sarah for breakfast, we had a delish breakfast at the Buttered Biscuit one of Sumner's fine eateries.

Then we met Matt and Josh in Puyallup at the Snow Show an annual snowmobile swap meet.  Then we hit the ground running again for Port Townsend for Jenny and Gregory's wedding reception. It was held at the lovely Cannery downtown overlooking the water.

Brian and I rarely snap self portraits...sometimes they are just fun.

Sunday we jetted outta Seattle early to get home, and this is what we encountered on the pass!
Just having been at the snow show, Brian was quite giddy about the snow!
I found a few hours to can some applesauce and it is o' so tasty!

The Last of my Colorado Fun!

Well I had a wonderful trip to Colorado!  The fall colors were perfect and the company was excellent!!!
It rained most of Saturday in Colorado so we made our way to the Harley store for some fun! As we drove up, they had this awesome statue out front! I need one in my front yard!
I took advantage during family picture time to snap a photo with Grandma and the ladies!

Castle Rock

Monday before I flew out Emily and the kiddos and her friend Katie and her daughter and I went to Castle Rock for a little hike. It was a seriously beautiful fall day and the colors were exceptional up there.  I toted Johanna in the backpack and Emily had JJ in the moby wrap.
When we go to the top of the climb you could then climb the rocks to the very tip top of the rock so Emily and I did a little bouldering and made our way to the top. The view was worth it!

Run the Rocks

Sunday we got up early and made our way over to Morrison Colorado to the Red Rocks Amphitheater
for a fun run! Jeff, Emily and I ran while Gigi, Lori, the kiddos and Uncle Brian were our cheerleaders! It was a beautiful day for a run and minus the fact that the last mile, the entire mile was all uphill it was a great course!  We finished by climbing the steps of the amphitheater and there were some bands along the way to motivate us!

There were 2500 people that ran the race!
This is how we actually felt at the end of the race.

Hikin' the Ben Tyler Trail

Kara and the boys and Lori and I drove to Bailey, Co., to go on a little jaunt up in the hills.

Tyler kept walking out front and saying he wanted to be the 'leader'
 It had a great view!
After our hike we made our way over to the Coney Island Hotdog stand for lunch. It was a wacky little place that had hot dog and milkshakes!  Awesome!
