Beezley Hike

This weekend was just what I needed.  Brian and I spent Saturday morning hiking Beezley with the Mad-Dog and enjoyed some time at home doing chores and what not.  There were so many flowers on our hike and it was GREEN!  Despite the wind we managed to enjoy the weekend and the sunshine.

Curious little piggies!

How can you not love a wet little curious piggy nose?  These little buggers are friendly.  If you don't want to smell like a pig then you can't go in the pen cause they are all over you.  They just want a few kisses, to eat your jeans, and nibble your shoes!

Fisherman

Brian works with a great group of guys. And the other week they all got together for some fishing in the San Juans.  They didn't catch much but had fun all the same.

Changin' Water

As part of the Quincy FFA Alumni Assoc that Brian helps with they have rented a 20 acre piece of alfalfa for the kids to change water, learn about farming, and best of all proceeds from the sale of the alfalfa go back to the FFA.  Well water just started which means Brian is in charge for a little while, so Sunday morning I went out to help him change water.  It was a gorgeous sunny morning!

Cousin Annie's Wedding

Saturday was cousin Annie's wedding in Seattle.  Brian and I made a mad dash over to celebrate!  It was held at Melrose Market Studios in Capitol Hill, a very cool industrial type venue.  Best wedding cake I have had in a long time (complete with ice cream from Seattle's Micro-creamery).  Awesome flowers, beautiful bride, and a lovely evening.
Here we are with Kevin and Meara.
 The Fella's.
 The ladies!
Beautiful Bride with Russ and Craig.

Oinkers!

We got piggies today!  10 piggies!  4 black ones, 3 pink, 2 red, and 1 spotted (which I have already decided is my favorite).  They are a little larger then last years crop because we have been busy and finally getting around to getting them!  But their still cute.  Expect lots of piglet updates as the summer progresses!
 There were shy at first.
Exploring their new home!

Ashley's Birthday

The blog has been neglected lately because we have been very busy! Not busy with anything very exciting, mostly work and trying to get things together around the house for spring.
Last week we went out to celebrate Ashley's 29th birthday at Tsunami Sushi.  Yum!
Happy Birthday Friend!

Baby Sophia

Shelley and Jared welcomed baby Sophia North on Easter (after a 4 week stint in the hospital on bed-rest). After being born she was in the NICU for a short time and they made it home last week.
This pic was about an hour before she came!  Shelley is looking pretty good!
So naturally I made them come over Sunday to torture the baby with new born pictures.
She is sooooo tiny and was a lovely little sleeper!

House Dog

Every now and then when Maddy is looking curiously into the house I will let her in and she sniffs around and then goes outside...this usually occurs when Brian isn't home...well the other night we were sitting on the couches and she just had that look on her face. So I opened the door and let her in where she immediately walked over to Brian and climbed up on top of him like it's something she always does.  It was hilarious.
When Brian finally got her off of him she climbed over to the chair and laid down like she is a lap dog!  Who does she think she is??  I can tell you this lasted about 5 minutes and then she went outside and I had to vacuum! Crazy animal!

Easter Festivities

The weather this March has been amazing so we decided to have a little easter egg dying and weenie roast.  It was about 70 degrees and beautiful out side.

Weenie Roast!  There's nothing like cooking hot dogs on the fire.
Blueberry frosting is a messy treat!
We had an egg tossing contest...always ends up with some one with egg in the face...literally.
No Easter festivities are complete with out peep smores.
This two are clearly up to no good....
