Baby Anika

Brian, Shelley, and I made a quick road trip down to Brad and Stephanie's in Vancouver to see the newest addition to the fam, little Anika Grace. She is a healthy happy little baby! Brian was asking Shelley what she wanted to be called, "Aunt Shel" "Auntie Shelley" "Aunt Shelley" to which Shelley replied "I don't care as long as you don't call me "Aunt Shirley." Brian then announced that he has decided that he would like to be referred to as "BOSS" by all his nieces and nephews. You catch that little Addy Lou.... Thanks Brad and Steph for the great visit!
Yes, Boss.

Meanwhile....the boys had some fun playing guitar hero.....

Road trip to Puyallup for Justus Birthday

On Friday afternoon, Jolene and Addy met me in Ellensburg for a little road trip to Puyallup for Justus' first Birthday Celebration....It was a monster bash and Sarah's dad made the cutest monster cut out for everyone to take a picture with....way too fun! Sarah's mom made unbelievably delicious Korean food, and Justus is by the far the best cake smasher I have seen (I don't have a picture, I left them all with Sarah). Anyway, it was a fun and quick trip to Puyallup!

B is for Bitty and Building Stuff

Ok already, I know I will stop with the B is for blog title posts...I couldn't help it! Last weekend Jolene was up for Stephs shower so we played in the yard with the munchkin for a bit... her and Maddy get along well....hahaha! Maddy likes to lick the poor kids face....perfect height.
Brian has decided heat would be a nice addition to the shop, I would tend to agree. So he has been working on installing a heater. Go Brian Go.

B is for Beef

I am sure most of you remember the 1/2 a beef tutorial posting from last years butchering of the cows. Well it's back! Our cows were butchered on Monday morning and Maddy had an excellent time watching it all. She actually did more sniffing then trying to eat anything. I refrained from posting too many graphic photos, but I will leave you with these. Enjoy!

B is for Baby!

Don't worry folks, B is for baby does not pertain to me! :) We had a baby shower for Stephanie (Brian's sister) this weekend and it was a smashing good time. (don't you with sometimes you lived in Europe so you could get away talking like that, like who says smashing good time) Complete with cupcake royale cupcakes and good company. Some of you might be asking your self wait did I know Stephanie was pregnant....the answer is nope, because she is not, they are adopting a baby who is supposed to be born November 11, so any minute they could be getting 'the call- how nerve wrecking, Stephanie is holding up quite well if I do say so my self. Obviously by the multiple items of pink that will follow in the pictures they know it is a girl- but they are keeping the name a secret. Have I mentioned I loathe secrets....especially when it pertains to not finding out the sex of a baby (uh hum...cough cough, Jolene, who thinks it is fun to torture me with these types of secrets). I almost threatened to not throw her a baby shower when she was pregnant with Addy Lou unless she found out, obviously I lost! I guess I am too nice.
Shelley and I made shirts for the Aunties and Mama Vos.
The cute guestbook pages....
Meara, Staci, Shelley, Stephanie (mom to be), and Cathy (grandma)
Yummy Potato Skins with a delicious chive and sour cream dip.
Forgot to take a picture of mine, so you can see Auntie Shelley's shirt up close.
Probably the best pacifier ever made.
The sisters! Thanks Shelley and Meara for all your help (and Jolene, and Amy too!)

The infamous LOVE Stature at Love Park

How could there be a vacation post with out me jumping....
Geno's Famous Cheesesteaks in South Philly. Quite the attraction.

Us enjoying amazing cuisine at El Vez...unbelievable flavors at this restaurant.
The restaurant had a photo booth inside and each of the waitress shirts had their photo booth strips printed on them. It was soo fun!
