Little Trip to BC...

Since I had to switch all my plans around I ended up at Emily and Bryan's on Saturday morning. Emily and I went to Granville Island for the morning and shopped and ate some yummy food. Granville is a little bit like the Seattle Pikes Place. Then we went to Ikea, a few fabric stores, the cupcake store (suprise, suprise) and then made it home for a little crafting.

Brian goes to bed around 7:45-8:15 most nights and it is often still light outside, he has been making comments about wanting a sleeping mask, and so Emily and I decided to sew one up for him! It was hilarious!

Thursday and Friday and Yummy Jam

I was headed to Emily's in BC on Thursday morning when I realized that I had forgotten my passport....change of plans...Brian had to fed ex my passport over night to Lynden to Joelle's house...I spent Thursday and Friday with Joelle in Lynden...Thursday we just hung out and took some pics of the kids and dinked around...Friday we were on a mission to make JAM! Well Friday Joelle woke up with a severe migrane (throwing up every 30 minutes kinda migrane) Jovie (the baby) didn't take her usual nap, and poor Jack (4 years) had a fever. Needless to say while Joelle slept Jack and I made jam and I know Joelle feels bad that I made all the jam by my self it was the least I could do...

Wednesday...

On Wednesday night of last week I went to Seattle to visit Alan, Amy and Nora before I headed to Lynden and Abbotsford. We went to this delicious vegetarian restaurant called Cafe Flora, it was delicious!

Goin' for a Ride

Last night Brian got home at a decent hour....6:30...so we decided to go on a little 4-Wheeler ride...and since we haven't taken any pictures with the 4-Wheeler I made us do that first, (much to Brian's dismay, becuase the 4-Wheeler wasn't clean...oh my) Taking pictures with Maddy is often like trying to take family pictures with a 2 and 4 year old running around....the only time she poses nicely is when Brian is there sitting with her.... And then when we finally get her to sit still I take the picture and Brian is talking to her trying to make her look at the camera....
Oh where did the little A.D.D dog go....oh behind the 4-Wheeler....

Oh there she is, back again...see what I mean...hopeless!

Ribbit

It is times like this I wish I had a macro lens....these cute little frogs have a habit of taking up residence in my garage....which I can't figure out why becuase there is no moisture in there and it is hotter then hot!!! We find them in our shoes, but most often find them under my tires, flattened, poor little buggers.

Wedding Weekend

It is a strange thing for me to go to a wedding just to go and be a guest, but that i what I did last weekend...The Faw family and my self minus Brian (who had to tend to the lima beans and corn) loaded up and headed to Aloha Oregon for cousin Liz and Aaron's wedding. It was a blast! They had an amazing DJ...(see last picture of Shelley and DJ dancing...teehee....) a yummy cake, and a great venue!

Cousin Joel and Lilly dancing...as you can see Joel is very enthusiatic about the whole thing.

This guy rocked the place...if you know anyone getting married in the Portland area, call this guy.... BUST A MOVE DJ Services....he was such an entertainer. And even gave a really sweet toast...

Peaches

Yum! Peaches! Last Thursday when Emily was here we decided to can these yummy peaches that Brian's boss had given me! It was perfect because canning alone is just no fun!

I stole this canning book from my mom, it is so great!

Birthday Bash

As most of you know it was my birthday on the 6th....and I have awesome friends and awesome family! Wednesday the 5th Brian's mom and sister Shelley made me a delicious dinner of lettuce wraps and my mom made a yummy italian cream cake. Thursday we had a bbq and pinata party. Ashley (and Amber) slaved away making kabobs and lemon drops for me and they were awesome! Tricia made me the 'mother of all cupcakes' cake and it was great!!!! It was a blast!

Nothing Runs Like a Deere

This one's for you Josh Knodell....(Lyndenn- you'll have to tell Josh to check this out). Here's how the story goes, Brian's parents bought a top of the line John Deere lawn mower circa 1985 (wish I had a photo for you) They passed that down to Brian about 4 years ago, up until this year, Brian was using that same lawn mower, which he passed down to our friend Josh. We went lawnmowerless for a while and finally Brian went to John Deere and picked out this beauty! With any luck he can make it last 20 some years like the last one- and that is why they say 'Nothing Runs Like A Deere'

Dry Falls

I had to show a house in Coulee City (which is like 1 hour from Ephrata) so I decided to drag Shelley with me and we made an afternoon of it. We stopped in Soap Lake for coffee, pretended to be tourists at Dry Falls (Kara, this is most often why I always have my tripod with me), dangled our toes in Banks Lake for 1/2 hour, and eventually showed the house! Gotta love summer!

Handy Man

That's Brian...he's a handy man...this will be the third trailer he has built. The first trailer was a huge car trailer he built for a college class, he ended up selling on ebay. The second trailer is the 4-wheeler, lawn-mower trailer that he uses quite a bit to haul odds and ends it even has a deck that works as a ramp so you can tilt it to the ground drive up on it and it then levels out...amazing, and this third trailer will be the utility trailer to haul behind the 4-wheeler for yard work. He finds old axels, buys some tires, wood, and steel and starts welding...amazing.

This was before he put the wheel wells on and bolted the floor down. Its almost done though!
