Mother's Day

Shout out for Mother's Day!

Mom has an annual horse show in Moses Lake the weekend of Mother's Day, so I went over in the morning to watch and hang out for awhile.

 Then it was over to Shelley's for dinner with the Faw Family.  Shelley made a lovely meal of cedar plank salmon, grilled asparagus, and roasted taters!

I was in charge of desserts and I can never decide on just one thing so I tried my hand at a raspberry chiffon pie and a chocolate cake with whipped peanut butter frosting.  Both were excellent!

Girls Weekend at Whidbey Island

Katie, Nicole, Ashley, and I took a little sabbatical from life over the weekend and enjoyed some time on Whidbey Island.  The weather was phenomenal, the food was delicious, the sights were fantastic, and the company lovely.  Ofcourse they had to endure my photo taking shenanigans...

 We found a great little place to ride some go-karts. They had themed cars.  Awesome!

 Made a trek to Greenbank Farms for a pie!

It's really too bad that dandelions are considered a nuisance, cause they are fun!

Beezley Hike

This weekend was just what I needed.  Brian and I spent Saturday morning hiking Beezley with the Mad-Dog and enjoyed some time at home doing chores and what not.  There were so many flowers on our hike and it was GREEN!  Despite the wind we managed to enjoy the weekend and the sunshine.

Curious little piggies!

How can you not love a wet little curious piggy nose?  These little buggers are friendly.  If you don't want to smell like a pig then you can't go in the pen cause they are all over you.  They just want a few kisses, to eat your jeans, and nibble your shoes!  

Fisherman

Brian works with a great group of guys. And the other week they all got together for some fishing in the San Juans.  They didn't catch much but had fun all the same.

Changin' Water

As part of the Quincy FFA Alumni Assoc that Brian helps with they have rented a 20 acre piece of alfalfa for the kids to change water, learn about farming, and best of all proceeds from the sale of the alfalfa go back to the FFA.  Well water just started which means Brian is in charge for a little while, so Sunday morning I went out to help him change water.  It was a gorgeous sunny morning!
