Spring has sprung

And the reason I know that.  Cause the ditches now have water!  It's official!

This weekend Kyle and Meagan, Shelley, and I made a super fast trip to Olympia (where Meagan grew up) (it's also our state capital, and believe it or not, I don't think I have ever been there, so we drove my the capital buildings that was fun!) for some engagement pics.  Meagan's getting married in June! Yay!  We stopped at Charley B's cupcakery...I think that might just be my new favorite cupcake stop!

Brian Turns 32!

Tuesday was Brian's 32nd birthday!  We celebrated with a meal of prime rib, twice baked taters, corn, bread, caesar salad, and best of all angel food cake with berries!  It was a lovely meal with lovely guests! (I know the banner says Happy Easter in the background....it's so early this year my decor was up for his birthday!)

McCall Adventure to Burgdorf

Our adventure to Burgdorf was an excellent day!  Burgdorf is the hot springs in McCall that you can only get to by snowmobile in the winter.  We loaded everyone up and hit the trail!  There is something about soaking on the hot springs on a cold winter day, it's so fun!

We even built a snowman along the way!

McCall Adventures Day 2

Day 2 the gals went on a snowshoe adventure while the boys went out and rode hard!  We went around Ponderosa State Park and enjoyed another beautiful day.

 Shari brought along the fireball.  Which led to some comical moments.  I kept tripping over my snowshoes and it's hard to get up with those clod hoppers on!

It was actually easier to just roll over.

McCall Adventures Day 1

This past weekend we went to McCall, Idaho to meet up with Andy and Cenone, Randy and Shari, & The Flowers Fam. Friday we spent the day on the hill and enjoyed day. 

 We climbed to the top of a cabin that was snowed in and bum slid down!  

Quilts

I have had a hankering lately for quilting. When I say hankering I should probably say more of an obsession.  Strip quilts have been the basis for my obsession they are so fast and I love them!  Paula over at the Stitching Post is my quilting guru.  I make the tops, she sews the tops and bottoms together with her giant quilting machine! She is so awesome!

I have had this antique rusted bed frame for awhile now and this was the perfect use for it!

The bright orange and yellow in this particular quilt might be my favorite...
