Toys...

If any of you with kids has ever been to our house you know that the toys are limited...or non-existent, so we have to get really creative when we have kids over. Hayden our friends Lyndsy and Ashleys son is always a good sport, recently when they came over for dinner we found quite the entertainment with my sticky page markers!

Reflections...

Remember back in the day when they used to develop pictures into slides... well Trisha at Goin' Postal just recently purchased a scanner that will convert slides into digital pictures (this is amazing!) so we have had a blast looking at all the pictures of my childhood I thought I would share a few of my favorites with you all! If any of you needs slides converted she is your woman! Call her anytime 754-1314!

Sun Peaks Mountain- Canada

This weekend Brian and I went to Sun Peaks Canada with 6 of our friends from WSU! Bryan Bartsch (he was the best man in our wedding) his parents have a house at the mountain and we kind enough to let us stay there! It was a blast. Look for more pics coming soon, pictured is Josh Knodel and Lynden Virnig, Us, Shaun and Andrea Elliott, and Emily Silver and Bryan Bartsch! We had a blast playing games, wandering the village, eating chocolate from the Rocky Mt. Chocolate Factory, snowshoeing, skiing, ice skating, and hanging out!

Puppy Love

For Brian's dad birthday all of us kids got him a German Shepard puppy- we went last weekend and looked at her and they are going back up to pick her up this weekend. How could anyone resist a puppy, she was soo cute and cuddly! She still doesn't have a name....any good ideas? Brian thinks Mad-Dog will try and eat her (you should have seen what she did to the cat we used to have) so they can't play for awhile, someday they will be buddies though!

Rollerskating...

Old School! Trisha, Andrea, and I went old school on Saturday night and went roller skating at the Lakeview Roller Rink. Which hasn't changed since I was a kid. I ran into my friend Alicia's little sister- Gracie (who was the flower girl in my wedding) there with her parents roller skating! Random! It was way too fun and we can't wait to do it again!

Beef...It's What's for Dinner

WARNING: the following images contain graphic material and are not suitable for children under the age of 18 or anyone with a weak stomach or is planning to eat beef for dinner...
Ever had anyone buy 1/2 a beef and asked your self how do they figure that one...well the following images will give you a little tutorial.
Brian enjoying playing on the 4-Wheeler and plowing the occasional snow!
This is where the butcher is caping the steer.
He will then clean the insides out and proceed to cut him down the middle.
Wha-La! 1/2 a beef!
Hope I didn't scare any of you away from eating meat for awhile, it is just such an interesting process! I had a few more graphic photos, but refrained from posting them, you can thank me later!

New Years

For New Years Brian and I spent a few days in Anacortes with Carrie and Seth our friends from Nebraska. We had a great time going to all the little towns, eating seafood, and playing plenty of games of Yahtzee and Hand and Foot!

STUCK...SNOWED IN...

Yep, that's right! We are stuck in Seattle..well Bellevue actually! We were headed home from Anacortes and a fun New Years (more to come on that later) when we got to Issaquah and found out all the passes are closed due to avalanche control! Agghhh!! Luckily we called out friends Pat and Kelly (Pat works at National with Brian in their Seattle office) so we are safe and sound in Bellevue until further notice...stay tuned!
